And so it begins

Scarlett arrived safely at Matt's parents house, where she will be visiting temporarily while we get the initial work done to make her outdoor safe and operable.

She now has been washed, and her interior is mostly gutted. We will need to replace some of the floor pans and the back seat, however it looks like we may be able to salvage the front seats, just replace the padding, hopefully. We shall see.

A view of the engine compartment. This is a 350 Pontiac engine (some of the top end has been removed already). We are still weighing our options on whether to keep this engine, put in the 400 chevy engine Matt has laying around (which we'll need to bore out some due to a dropped bolt incident years ago, lol), or to invest in a new one all together. Personally I'm hoping for the 400. Matt's hoping for a 383 stroker.

A look at the hood and some of the weather damage to the clear coat/paint.

And this is after Matt had to do a little persuading to get the top (most of the way) back. It was already damaged when daddy got the car and needed help when putting back. The weather and years just finished it off. Also you may notice the front end damage. That's due to a patch of ice. We have some hopes that this can be fixed rather than replaced.
